Hot Chocolate for Cold Days!

If you’re willing to brave the cold to eat with us at Sbisa this afternoon and evening, we’ll be waiting for you as you leave with a cup of hot chocolate to keep you warm on your walk home. We’re also serving home-made soup in the market area to help warm you up.

Burrito Bar update

We’re off and rolling! Lots of smiling faces, which we love to see. Our tortilla warmer arrived today so expect even better burritos than yesterday. If you don’t want the tortilla we will make you a rice bowl with all the good toppings.

Burrito Bar at Sbisa

More good eats at Sbisa! Sbisa’s new Burrito Bar will open tomorrow in The Market area. The Burrito Bar will feature grilled meats and many more freshly cooked ingredients such as cilantro rice, black beans, freshly made salsas and chipotle-Ranch dressing. We’ll be grilling right in front of you and building burritos to your liking on your choice of flour, whole-wheat or tomato tortillas. It’s fresh, healthy and made to order. Hot Sandwiches at Duncan

In case you weren’t aware, at the beginning of the semester Dining Services opened one side of Duncan Dining Center as a retail deli (we still have all-you-care-to-eat on the other side) and we’ve recently added some delicious new hot sandwiches. In addition to the full line of cold sandwiches, we now also offer grilled chicken on foccacia, Philly cheese-steak, BBQ brisket and Sausage on a bun. Enjoy!

Pasta Bar at Sbisa Now Open!

The much anticipated Pasta Bar at Sbisa is now open and finished its first day strong. I had a lot of fun cooking alongside James as we cranked out one custom pasta bowl after another. We served over 200 bowls of pasta for dinner. We’re working on a nice garlic bread to go along with it. On Friday we’ll  have fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp (one of my personal best) as a special, so don’t miss out. Also coming soon – my own Southwestern pasta creation, cilantro pesto with grilled chicken. We’re having fun at Sbisa cooking pasta, so come check us out.

Those fresh hamburgers on homemade buns are so popular that we’ve added five more tables and twenty chairs at The Grill at the Pavilion.

Sbisa Changes

Howdy!

It seems that everywhere we look on campus there is construction or changes taking place; and Dining is no different. This semester, with the help of student feedback and suggestions, we have made some changes and additions to better accommodate our campus community. Some changes this semester at Sbisa include:

  • Extended and continuous hours: now open Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 9:00 pm and Saturday – Sunday, 8:00 am – 9:00 pm.

  • Stir-fry and rice and noodle bowls are now being offered in the World Cuisine area. With a variety of selections, if something is not offered on the day you are there just ask - someone can always make it for you fresh in five minutes!

  • Ags' Diner has an extensive menu of made to order burgers and hot dogs and has new additions being added like veggie and turkey burgers and falafel sandwiches.

  • Enjoy hand scooped Blue Bell ice cream along with some of your favorite recipes from the MSC CafĂ© that are now being served on the menu!

  • In the next few weeks a Mexican grill concept will open where the cooked-to-order area currently is. They will serve freshly grilled chicken and steak on tacos or in burritos.

  • Also coming soon - made to order pasta in the Sarginos’ area. This is a great option if you are looking for a custom vegetarian option or a healthier meal choice.
